Attention

Leave room for a walk

Choose a route short enough that starting is easy. The point is a change of attention, not a destination.

Notice something specific: the shape of a shadow, a tree changing colour, or the sound of a street at a different hour. Giving attention a concrete task can help interrupt a loop of abstract thought.

On returning, write one sentence about the question you left behind. Sometimes the next step is clearer; sometimes a break is simply a break. Both are useful.
